28 Weeks

83 DAYS to GO!
I've come to the realization that I've officially left the "oh your pregnant? You look so cute," stage to the not as complementary, "YOU'RE HUGE" stage. This week alone i think i've had 3 people tell me how huge i am... what's weird is that i must be suffering from body dismorphia disorder because when I look in the mirror i don't think I look that big... it's very strange. Anyways, i'm really adjusting to the bump and learning to dress around it. I'm loving how fast my hair is growing and hoping it will be long by the time Trenton is due.
Although, I may not think I look huge... I can assure you that my body is definately feelin' the bump. My back is still hurting, but what is in even more pain is my right rib. It hurts really bad, sore, almost like it's bruised. At my doctors appointment today I expressed my pain to Dr. Han and she told me that it's pretty common, and that my rib could in fact actually be bruised because of Trenton kicking and pushing up against them. Besides my ribs and back hurting, i'm feeling really great and getting really excited about meeting Trenton soon. He's still moving around a ton and more frequently. Trenton's weight is a little over 2 pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now have eyelashes on them. This week his eyesight is developing along with billions of neutrons in his brain and adding more fat in preparation for life outside my belly.
David's work threw us a baby shower this week. It was beyond nice of them.... it was a pot luck buffet with so much food it was easy to over eat, including; pizza, chicken, indian food, dips, vegetables, fruit, cookies and 2 cakes! After we ate, we played 2 games and than opened presents. We received an overwhelming and unexpected amount of gifts, which was so generous and kind of everyone. Just a few of the gifts we received are the Pack n' Play, diaper bag, bath toys, blankets, clothes, and gift cards.
It's been a great week and I am excited to see what new experiences and adventures we will have in the next 12 weeks.
